I Picture Love Dead
I was going through my boxes, putting my songs and demos and
recordings, my notes and thoughts and memos in different little piles.
Colour, mood, finish, future. Half-finished, barely begun, all done.
You see I've taken two steps back and one step sideways with Milberg.
It had to be done. I lost track of what I was doing.
As in my real life I sprinkle little things everywhere and then
when it's officially messy I'll put it all in a big box to sort out later.
(I already hate myself for sharing this part of my personality
with you but I couldn't come up with a good enough lie).
You find everything in those boxes, from hair pins to really
wonderful little things that I've either managed to forget I ever
had or that I've been really missing but not been able to find.
Anyways, I'm sorting it all out now. All the boxes, every pile.
It may take a while but I'll get there, and also I'm in no rush.
However, amongst all my findings was this one little song that I
had forgotten about, that I thought I'd share with you now.
It's a recording me and Dante did in our rehearsal space in Stockholm.
And later on we went to Dante's place and did some additional recordings.
Dante is playing most of the instruments and he also did this mix.
It's called I Picture Love Dead and it's about those anxious nights
when nothing feels right and shadows take on strange shapes.
As with those nights it's got a happy ending. You finally manage to
go to sleep and you wake up to discover things are fine.
Well, apart from a few big boxes of random things and lovely treasures
that you are gonna have to sort out at some point.
